CHC’s construction and engineering arm is Continental Engineering Corporation (CEC). Founded in 1945, CEC has built a reputation for delivering superior engineering and construction work in both public and private sectors, with a presence in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, and India.


CEC has successfully completed many major infrastructure projects, including major civil construction works involving viaducts, bridges, and tunnels for highway, metro, and railway projects. It was also one of the principal consortium investors and contractors for the US$17 billion Taiwan High Speed Rail, one of the world’s largest Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) projects.

CEC has also delivered a comprehensive range of building projects, including hospitals, hotels, office buildings, multifunctional complexes, high-end residences, education and research facilities, as well as township communities.

Continental Development Corporation

Continental Development Corporation (CDC) focuses on real estate development, with projects including residential buildings, commercial buildings, hotels, as well as township communities. It currently has ongoing projects in Taiwan, Malaysia, and the United States.

Environmental project development is a key pillar of CHC’s portfolio. HDEC Corporation (HDEC) prides itself on providing innovative, energy-efficient, and cost-competitive solutions for clients and communities. It has a strong track record in water treatment and is well prepared to expand into other environmental project areas.


The company is equipped with expertise in processing sewage, industrial wastewater, solid waste, and more. Other areas of technical competency include mechanical biological treatment, thermal treatment, and flue gas treatment. HDEC established Taiwan’s first reclaimed water plant and is set to deliver the first government-owned industrial wastewater treatment plant with zero liquid discharge.
